METAL WORKSHOPS
To make the manual metal works we thought of
recycling workshops.
Four different activities have been carried out
The objectives we wish to achieve are:
·
Recycle
metal materials
·
Foster
the creativity in our students.
First workshop.
Title: Aluminium boxes
Title: Aluminium boxes
Materials:
ü Glue
ü Aluminium foil
ü Chocolate boxes, cardboards... to be
recycled
ü Jewish polish
The manual craft develops as follows:
ü Wrap up the box with creased
aluminium foil.
ü Fix the aluminium foil onto the box,
especially at the corners.
ü To give the work an old-looking
aspect, you can apply Jewish polish with a brush.
Second workshop
Title: Rings
Title: Rings
Materials:
ü Nespresso capsules (metal)
ü Aluminium foil
ü Glue
The manual craft develops as follows:
ü Take a piece of aluminium foil
(23cm. x 5cm.) and roll it up making a thin roll.
ü Give each roll the length of each
child finger.
ü Separate the aluminium border of the
Nespresso capsule from the rest of the recipient (the coloured part).
ü Flatten the coloured part to get the
bottom part of a flower. Then, decorate it with the aluminium border.
ü Join both parts with glue. The ring
(little roll of aluminium foil) and the flower (made with the nespresso
capsule)
The ring is ready.
Third workshop
Title: Can for pencils
Title: Can for pencils
Materials:
ü Metal cans
ü Magazines
ü Glue
The manual craft develops as follows:
ü Make little rolls with magazine
papers (you need enough rolls so as to cover the whole can surface)
ü Cover the metal cans with glue and
stick the rolls on it.
ü Let the glue dry. Afterwards you’ll
be able to keep your pencils, marking pens...on it.
Fourth workshop
Title: bracelets made of ring-pulls.
Title: bracelets made of ring-pulls.
Materials:
ü Satin ribbon
ü Ring Pulls from soft drink cans.
The manual craft develops as follows:
ü Fold the ribbon in half.
ü Introduce the first ring pull, and
each ribbon end in one of the holes.
ü The first ring pull shouldn’t reach
the ribbon final end.
ü Introduce the rest of the rings in
the same way.
ü The number of rings will depend on
the width of the wrist.
